OBITUARY. – [From the Chronicle, July 19]
We notice with sorrow the decease, this morning, of the Hon. Ebenezer Mack, after a lingering illness. Mr. Mack has for many years enjoyed a high estimation in the community, as well as a favorable general reputation in the state. As a talented editor of a political paper, and a useful member of the State Senate, he has been extensively known and appreciated. He was for a number of years the Postmaster of this village, and for a time the Printer of the Senate of this State. As a business man he was enterprising and successful. For a few years past he has turned his attention in a measure to Agricultural pursuits, having arranged a beautiful residence upon his farm south of the village. He was a bright example of the success which attends self-reliance and waits on personal exertion.
