A member of the Odessa Christian Faith Center, Donald was a veteran of the United States Marines. He married the love of his life, Annis Small on June 16, 1954 in Lovington, New Mexico.
After he retired as a mechanic, Donald took up arts and crafts and enjoyed building tiny houses out of matches and popsicle sticks. He enjoyed a good game of cards, fishing, feeding birds off his porch and the company of his two dogs, Chica and Buster Timóne.
Those left to cherish his love and memories are his wife, Annis Poor, one Daughter, Connie Malone and husband, Ismael Espinoza of Odessa, one sister, Phyllis Armstrong of Andrews, and his three grandchildren, who Donald always enjoyed joking and cutting up with, David Moore, Jr, Chrystal Moore and Harley Malone all of Odessa. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lee and Harold Poor and one sister, Helen Casky.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 pm, Friday, January 20, 2006 at Acres West Funeral Chapel, 8115 W University, with Brother Derek Killam officiating. Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
