Edward T. McCarthy QUINCY Edward T. McCarthy, Born on April 16, 1938 a life-long resident of Quincy, MA. passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 72 years old after a long illness. Edward served in the U.S. Navy before working locally and finally retiring in Quincy, MA. He is survived by his children including David McCarthy of Randolph, MA., Patrick and Susan (Thomas) McCarthy of Braintree, Susan McCarthy of Braintree, MA, Brenda and Anthony Rozzi of Haverhill, MA, and Bruce and Heather McCarthy of Newport, VT, as well as the late Stephen McCarthy of Quincy, MA and Doris McCarthy also of Quincy, MA. He is also survived by his sisters Elaine Rocky Atherton of South Boston and Carol and Al Peers of Mashpee, MA. He had 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be a Simple Military ceremony In the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne. Arrangements coordinated through the Lydon Chapel for Funerals, Quincy, MA. on Wednesday, January 27 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the people that took good care of him during his life, Veterans Administration, Roxbury, Ma.
