Louisa was the twin of Eliza Belle, daughters of Catherine Triggs and Edward Halferty. She never married.

LOUISA JANE HALFERTY

Louisa Jane Halferty, daughter of Edward and Catherine Halferty, was born April 29, 1968, near Oakley, Iowa and passed from life on Wednesday morning, Jan. 12, 1944 after an illness rsulting from a fall in which she suffered a broken hip.

She was a life long resident of Lucas county. Several years ago she united with the Assembly of God church at Lucas in which she retained her membership until death claimed her.

She leaves to mourn her passing two sisters, Mary Halferty, of Lucas, and Mrs. Eliza Donahue, of Red Oak, Iowa; one brother, Wm. Halferty, of Lucas; and numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors. Her parents and two brothers, J. N. Halferty, of Chariton, and M. J. Halferty, of Burlington Junction, Mo. preceded her in death.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Everett Hollingshead, were held at the Beardsley Funeral home in Chariton on Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and burial was in the Chariton cemetery.
