Chester Jones Rites Here
Funeral services for Chester Jones, lifetime Taylor County resident, held December 30 at Shum-Novinger Funeral Home in Bedford, were conducted by Rev. Leonard Wilson. Mr. Jones died December 27 at Rosary Hospital in Corning. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery, Bedford.

Chester Clyde Jones was born Nov. 17, 1878 on a farm southeast of Bedford. His parents were early settlers who came from Ohio. Chester attended the country schools in the area and took an active part in the Forest Grove Church. His entire life was lived in this community.
He married Pearl Wiles of Yorktown, Iowa, on November 28, 1898 [1899]. She preceded him in death in March, 1951.
There are three children; two daughters, Mrs. George (Mable) Croft of Tampa, Florida and Mrs. Arthur (Zorah) Moore of Bedford; one son, Orie Lowell Jones of Wichita, Kansas; one sister, Mary Hartzler of Bedford; also nieces and nephews.
