MARDIS – George Webster, 85, Ebensburg, died Jan. 24, 2010, at Altoona Hospital. Born May 25, 1924, in Belsano, son of William & Vada (Webster) Mardis. Predeceased by wife, the former Joyce Roberts, 1989. Survived by daughter, Lisa Lee, and husband, Alvie Roy Lewis, Ebensburg; son, Brian William, and wife, Loretta Mardis, Sunnyvale, Calif.; and grandchildren, Natalie Rae Mardis and James Byron Mardis. U.S. Navy, WW II veteran. Retired from Cambria & Indiana Railroad, Colver. In the past few years, George attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Johnstown with his daughter. George also enjoyed working on antique and new cars. Burial, Lloyd Cemetery, Ebensburg. Matevish & Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg.
