LIGHTENING KILLS TWO
Lightening struck and instantly killed Eugene Rankin and "Babe" Pounds this afternoon about 3:00 o'clock as they were on their way home. They were in a buggy about 3 miles south of Columbia on the Gainesville Road. The horse was also killed and the buggy demolished.
