Nicole M. Bastron, 29, of 117 W. Rochester St., died Jan. 21, 2010, at her home.She was born March 26, 1980, in Iowa City to James Robert and Sarah Ream Bastron.A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1998 and of Indian Hills Community College, she worked for Southeast Iowa Case Management in medical records. She was currently attending Indian Hills Community College.The last seven years she had devoted her life and love to her two young children, Alexis and Andrew. She will be greatly missed as a mother, teacher and mentor.She had been a member of St. Mary of the Visitation.Surviving are her twin children, Andrew and Alexis Johnston, both at home; her parents, Bob and Sarah Bastron of Ottumwa; three brothers, Alex Bastron and Michael Bastron, both of Ottumwa, Tommy Bastron of Des Moines; a sister, Brooke Bastron of Ottumwa; grandparents, Robert A. Bastron of Bettendorf, Polly Wells of Ottumwa and Larry Ream of St. George, Utah.She was preceded in death by a grandmother, Therese Bastron.Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home; Father John E. Hynes officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday with the family present from 6-8 p.m.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for her children's education.
