Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2002 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Richmond for Benedict A. Boeckmann, age 74, who died Sunday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday at the Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond. The Golden Smiles will pray at 4:30 p.m., Richmond Knights of Columbus will pray at 7 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 8 p.m.
Benedict was born in St. Nicholas to Joseph and Barbara (Nies) Boeckmann. He worked for Fridgidaire for 33 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his sister, Sister Francetta Boeckmann O.S.F.; brothers, Wendelin (Ruth) of St. Augusta; Sylvester (Coletta) of Cold Spring, Othmar (Mary) of Eden Valley, and Elmer (Marcella) of Richmond.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gregor and Alfred; and sisters, Marcella, Coletta, Ludvina and Hildegard.
