Philipp John [Jean-Baptiste Philias Bonin] Bunney, 86, passed away on September 22, 1933 In St. Petersburg, North Dakota.

Philip, fifth child of Jean (John) and Rosalie (Lescault) Bonin, was born on Aug 11, 1847 [1853] in Contrecour, Lajammerals, Quebec, Canada. He married Genevieve (Jenny) Guillet [Virginie Goyette} on February 27, 1876 in Saint -Urbain -Premier, Beauhamois-Salaberry, Quebec. She was born on January 16, 1847 in Ontario, Canada to Joesph and Ms. Louis and Marie-Anne Gadbois] (Goodwood) Guillet. They left Quebec in 1879 and moved... after their son Lawrence was born... to Glen Falls, New York. Later Philip and his family moved to East Grand Forks, Minnesota until around 1900. Then the family relocated to Petersburg, ND.

Philipp worked as a carpenter; a farmer and as I recall my father said that he worked for.. a time... the Great Northern Railroad. He was able to drive a truck, too.

Jenny passed away in Oct 13, 1924, I believe, from diabetes complications. Philipp passed away on September 22, 1933 when he was eighty-six years old. Both Philipp and Jenny are buried in the Michigan Cemetery near Petersburg, North Dakota.

Mr. John Buney
Dear Son and daughter,

I got your letter a few days ago and was glad to hear from you and that all is well
as it leaves us the same, John.

We are having fine weather up here now. John you said in your last letter that Clarence
could crawl. I am glad that old man McHaffie was here. We would like for you to come
and see us this fall. Mother's wishes that she could be back up there. Joe likes to live it up
up down here as well.

Son, I can not think of anything more to write about this time. Next time, I will write
more. Tell Myrtle to write me son. Kiss the baby for me and write soon.

Goodbye,
Mr. Philip Buney
