Lois Brotherton, 81, of Fort Smith, AR, formerly of Barling, AR, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2010. She was born August 18, 1928 in Fort Smith, AR to Ed and Vesta (Spencer) Baker.
She attended First Freewill Baptist Church in Fort Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Arthur Brotherton, her parents Ed and Vesta Baker, sister Louise Harris, brother Bill Baker and sister Florence Kelsey.
She was a devoted wife and the best mother, mother-in-law and grandma anyone could have.
Funeral service was Wednesday, January 27, 2010, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Harris officiating. Burial was at Fort Smith National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
She is survived by one daughter Elaine Crawford and husband Roger of Fort Smith, AR, one son Jim Brotherton and wife Suzy of Farmington, AR, four grandchildren Thad Crawford of Bentonville, AR, Kyle Crawford of Barling, AR, Jimmy Brotherton of Farmington, AR and Megan (Crawford ) Phillips of Barling, AR and four great grandchildren Xander Crawford, Chaucer Crawford, Sawyer Crawford and Brooklyn Phillips.
Pallbearers were Thad Crawford, Kyle Crawford, Jimmy Brotherton, Megan Phillips, Keith Phillips and Tommy Harris.
