George Willard Teasdale Dies After Long Illness-
Entered Business Here 40 Years Ago With Father and Later Took Over Concern-
George Willard Teasdale, 60 years old, president of J.W. Teasdale & Co., dried fruit dealers, died yesterday at his home,
4310 Delmar boulevard, following a long illness from blood poisoning which had kept him confined at home since last
May.
Teasdale was born in St. Louis in 1864, and had spent his entire life in this city. He entered business with his father 40
years ago, founding J.W. Teasdale & Co. in 1884. Then years later the elder Teasdale retired leaving the management of
the concern to his son.
Funeral services are to be held at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow from the family residence at 4310 Delmar boulevard, with
interment in Calvary Cemetery. Teasdale is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mamie Walsh Teasdale, and two sisters, Mrs.
Sara Teasdale Filsinger, the poet, and Mrs. Joseph Wheless, both of New York.
