Michael W. "Mike" Salter, 66, of Independence, MO, passed away Friday, January 22, 2010. Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 25, 2010, at the South Crysler Restoration Branch. Private burial in Mound Grove Cemetery. Mike was born February 27, 1943, in Kennett, MO, to Percy and Hilda (Tinker) Salter. His interest included muscle cars, hot rods and route 66. Salty Dawg would say he was really good at pool but awesome at ping pong! He is survived by his wife Jimmie Salter; daughter Shalyn "Squirt" Williamson and husband Johnny; mother Hilda Myers; step-children Chris, Melissa; grandchildren Cody, Kady, Harley, and Seven. Mr. Salter was preceded in death by his father Percy Salter; step-father Everett Myers. He was loved much and will be greatly missed. Condolences may be expressed at www.speakschapel.com.
