He was born in Rudyard, Michigan to William Batho and Lottie Batho. Doug worked as a mortician and Deputy Medical Examiner for over 50 years and was co-owner of Pickford Dry Goods. He served in the U.S. Army as a Medical Technician in France during WWII.
Surviving Douglas Batho were his sisters Pat (Dick) Newland of DeTour, Michigan, Gwen (Dick) Michel of Plainwell, Michigan, as well as his nephew Audie Potter of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and niece Pat Littlefield Rockford, Michigan, and special friend Marion Sutton of Cedarville, Michigan.
Doug was preceded in death by his wife Jean Batho in 2001, and his sister Berenice.
