John (Watts) Watson Drowned In Well Friday Afternoon

A Tattnall County man was drowned last Friday afternoon in a well at his home near Reidsville.
John Watson (Watts) Eason, Route 2, Collins was found shortly after noon last Friday. He was alone at his home and had apparently fallen into the well.
He was the son of the late Austin Eason and Annie Green. Survivors include his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Rance Hunter, Collins and Miss Louise Eason, Collins; two brothers, Owen Eason of California and Will Eason of Reidsville.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church of which he was a member, and one of the most active members and workers. Rev. Vernard Robertson assisted by Rev. Bill Childres conducted the services. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were nephews. Honorary pallbearers were J.D. Mack, John Smith, Otis Hunter, W.M. Mosley, Dr. R.G. Wilkes, Dr. J.C. Collins, Roy Harris, Haylow Parker, and Wilson Moore.
McCall - Trapnell Funeral Home of Reidsville was in charge of arrangements.

John Watson married Melba COLLINS, b. 25 Jan 1898, d/o Henry Thomas COLLINS & Sarah Ann LYNN.

Melba is buried here in this cemetery; her parents are both buried in Little Flock Church Cemetery, Reidsville, Tattnall Co., GA.

John Watson & Melba had the following children:
