Robert Andrew Lardner passed away in Auburn, Calif., on February 23, 2008.
Robert was born in Auburn on November 9, 1925. He graduated from Placer High School in 1942 where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. He was a member of the Auburn Cubs Baseball team and a proud Navy Veteran of World War II and Korea. He worked for many years at the Bank of California and then The Auburn Bank of Commerce before retiring.
He is survived by his son, Joe Moreno (Judy) of Susanville; and daughers, Judi Lardner of Oregon, and Phyllis Classon (Tom) of Auburn; grandchildren, Joe, Jim, Dawn and Scott Moreno, Caitlyn and Alison Moe, Bobby and Billy Classon; sisters, Jane Haydon, Lorraine Laird (Dean), Claire Vanderbilt, Lynette Weeks and Billee Landry; brother, George Lardner (Solveig); sister-in-law, Anna Turner and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Alice Lardner, whom he has been dearly missing since her passing in 2002. His parents, William and Amonda Lardner, his sister, Phyllis Warwick and brothers, Lynford Lardner, Jim Lardner, and Jon Lardner. It is wonderful to think of the great welcome he surely received by all.
Funeral Services will be held at Chapel of the Hills Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 10 a.m. followed by interment at the New Auburn Cemetery.
