Burial at Estelline On Thursday for Well Known Farmer
George Wesley Farley, widely-known farmer, passed away at his home near Turkey on Wednesday, April 12. He was 62 years of age and was born in McKinney, Collin County, on December 18, 1881.
Funeral services were conducted from the Turkey high school auditorium at 2:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon by the Rev. A.V. Hendricks with burial in the Estelline cemetery under the direction of the King Mortuary.
Mr. and Mrs. Farley moved to Hall County in 1924, residing in the Parnell community until last year when they moved to Turkey. Mr. Farley is survived by seven children, five sons and two daughters. Three of the sons, Tom, Cecil and John Farley are in the Army; Waymon and Bill, Mrs. Redell Irby and O'Juanan Farley live in Turkey. A brother and two sisters also survive. They are Mrs. N.A. Mitchell of Graham Mrs. J.A. Bruner of Kemp and W.J. Farley of Escota.
Pall bearers at the services were Horace E. Mullins, Clayton Horn, Edd House, Jack Lacy, Tomie M. Potts and Virgil Adams.
Beulah Penkerson, Mary Lane Hendrick, Alice Rose Godwin and Ida Young Faulkner were flower bearers.
