Martha Nash Dillon married Captain James Buchanan Eads October 21, 1845.

The Davenport Gazette October 21, 1852: Martha Nash Dillon Eads died October 12, 1852, while returning from a water cure establishment at Brattleboro, Vermont, contracted cholera on the steamer Franklin II near Evansville, Indiana, and died. Martha was known for her poetry, which was occasionally published in the Gazette.
