ELIZABETH ZUENDEL
8-17-1848 -- 2-26-1927

Miss Elizabeth Zuendel, a lifelong resident of Kingsley twp., passed away at 9:45 AM Saturday, at her home in Starr, after a lingering illness of 4 years from locomotor ataxia, a spinal disease which had left her an almost helpless invalid.

She was born at Ross Run, her parents being the late Henry Adam and Anna Christina (Boetcher) Zuendel, natives of Rumbach, Germany, who were pioneer settlers in that part of Forest Co. The family later moved to the farm at Starr, on German Hill, where the deceased spent her entire life. She was a consistent Christian all her lifetime and for many years had been a member of the Free Methodist church. During her long illness she was tenderly cared for by her sister, Miss Mary E. Zuendel, with whom she made her home at the old homestead farm.

Surviving her are 2 brothers and 1 sister: George of Kellettville; Henry and Miss Mary of
Starr.

Funeral services in her memory were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Zuendel church, the services being conducted by the Rev. J. F. Collins, pastor of the Tionesta Free Methodist church. Interment was in the Zuendel cemetery.
