HARL ANDREW ZUENDEL

Funeral services in memory of Harl A. Zuendel, seventy-four, who died at Titusville Hospital at 1:45 am Tuesday, were held at 2 pm Thursday, June 2, 1966, at the Rhodes Funeral Home in Tionesta. Rev. John Swartzfager, pastor of the Tionesta Church of God, officiated.

Interment was in the Zuendel Cemetery at Starr. Pall bearers were Robert Leonard, Harry Jaun, Howard Blum, Garnet Shellhouse, Chester Zuendel and Walter Zuendel.

He was born at German Hill November 27, 1891, the son of George and Kate Blum Zuendel.

He attended Clarion Normal School and taught in the Forest County schools for several years.

He served as a Sergeant in World War I, Company B, 344 MG Battalion, serving in France and at the battle of Meuse Argonne; the battle of Chateau Thierry.

He spent his earlier life working in the oil fields in Oklahoma and the later years he spent in farming.

He is survived by a brother, Lawrence W. Zuendel, Scottsdale, AZ; two foster brothers, Glenn W. Zuendel, Starr, and Lester O. Zuendel, Starr; two foster sisters, Mrs. Georgia Dickrager and Mrs. Gladys Leonard, Starr. One nephew, Lee Wilson Zuendel, Scottsdale, AZ, and a brother, Howard Zuendel, preceded him in death.

Relatives attending from a distance were Lawrence Zuendel, Scottsdale, AZ; Mr. and Mrs. William Rumbaugh and Miss Edith Davis, both of Erie; Mrs. Maxine Hepler, Oil City; and Mrs. Kay Nelson and girls of Warren, PA. The deceased owned the farm that belonged to his grandfather, Henry Adam, Jr.
