James A Eidt, Jr., was born in Natchez on September 11, 1941, being the son of James A. and Rosalie Stone Eidt. He spent his life in Natchez and received his education here. He had been a member of the Natchez Fire Department for the past five years and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He had served in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Norma Jeanne Samsing Eidt, two daughters, Jammie Denise Eidt and Wendy Gay Eidt, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Eidt, two brothers, Donald Eidt and Bobby Eidt, both of Natchez, three sisters, Mrs Jewel M. Anders, Gulfport, Miss., Mrs. William Junkin Bellan land Mrs. Wally Jones both of Natchez, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. S.G. Eidt of Natchez.
The Rosary was recited last night at the chapel of Laid's Funeral Home with many relatives and friends in attendance.
Funeral services will be held at eleven o'clock this (Wednesday) morning with Requiem Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral =, internment will follow in the family plot in the Natchez City Cemetery with Lair's Funeral House in charge of arrangements.
Members of the Natchez Fire Department will serve as Honary Pallbearers.
Serving as active pallbearers will be the following gentlemen; A.F. Cameron, Billy Nash, George Stunsspring, Lbus Martin, F.M. Jackson and Rudy McDaniel.
