Francis J. "Frank" Campanele, 81, of Windsor, beloved husband of Mary (Corso) Campanele, died Saturday (January 1, 2000) at St. Francis Hospital.


Born in Windsor, son of the late Joseph and Maria (DiGrigorio) Campanele, he was a lifelong resident of Windsor.


Before retiring, he owned and operated Friendly Cleaners of East Hartford and was co-owner with his brother of Camp's Coin Laundry in Glastonbury. He was a communicant of St. Gertrude's Church in Windsor.


Besides his wife, he leaves a son,Frank J. Campanele of Columbia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Joseph Duffy of Oldsmar, FL, Susan and Peter Barnard of East Hartland; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He also leaves a brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Phyllis Campanele of Glastonbury; two sisters, Lucy Nacarrato of Hamden, and Ann Larlee of Windsor.


Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2000 at 9:15 a.m. from the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Gertrude's Church in Windsor.
Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield.
His family will receive friends at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
