Dorothy V. Misner, 88, formerly of 4745 Carbaugh Road, South Mountain, died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 1996, in the Piney Mountain nursing home. She was in failing health for the past 1 1/2 years and became critically ill two weeks ago after a stroke.
Born June 7, 1908, in South Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Emma Carbaugh. She lived in South Mountain all her life.
Her husband, Clem M. Misner, were married Jan. 21, 1928. He died Dec. 6, 1974.
Mrs. Misner was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fairview Ward.
She worked in housekeeping at the former Samuel G. Dixon State Hospital, South Mountain.
Surviving are two granddaughters, Imogene Greenwood of South Mountain, whim whom she lived, and Brenda Lawrence of Gettysburg; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons and two brothers.
Burial will be in Strang's Cemetery, South Mountain.
