Floyd M. "Tom" Bivens, 81, Bushnell, died Saturday at 7:39 p.m. in McDonough District Hospital, Macomb.

He was born in Avon on Sept 2, 1902. He married Josephine Foster in Bardolph on Aug 21, 1948.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Rosalie Wagy, Avon; one stepdaughter, Martha Lee, Springfield; three brothers, Jeo Bivens and Claire Bivens, both of Avon, and Roll Bivens, Galesburg; four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was a fuel oil distributor for the Avon Oil Co., retiring in 1980. He had lived in Bushnell 36 years.

Funeral will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Martin-Hollis Funeral Home, Bushnell, the Rev. Ted Snider officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Monday after 2 p.m. and Tuesday until the service. Burial will be in the Avon Cemetery.
