Cornelia Marie Mason died at age 94 on Saturday, December 8, 1928 at 27 West 11th Street, the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank McWatters in New York City. She was predeceased by her husband, Brigadier General John Sanford Mason. Survivors included her daughter and two grandsons: Major Ennalls Waggaman and Floyd T. Waggaman, both of the District of Columbia. Funeral services were held at the Almus R. Speare Co. Chapel at 1623 Connecticut Avenue. Interment was at Arlington Cemetery.
