Arvil Lee Whitis, 35, Cincinnati, formerly of Pulaski County, died at the Somerset City Hospital Wednesday morning, January 29. He had been in declining health for four years.

Mr. Whitis was born in this county October 20, 1911. He left here several years ago and went to Cincinnati where he was a tile cutter..Her returned to this county about four months ago because of poo rhealth. He has many friends and relatives here who mourn his passing. He was not married.

He joined the Church of God several years ago and was active in church work as long as his health permitted.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whitis of Acorn; two brothers, Harold Whitis of Florida and Warren Whitis of Somerset; and five sisters, Mrs. Stella Toms, Carthage, Tenn,; Mrs. Flossie Martin, Lockland, Ohio, and Mrs. Sofia Cholmondeley, St. Louis, Mo.

Funeral services were held at the Denney-Murrell-Ramsey Undertaking Company chapel Friday morning, with the Rev. Patterson, of Reading, Ohio, officiating. Burial was at the Acorn Cemetery.
