Catherine Christena "Tenie" Lockhart, 93, of Rural Valley RD1 (Cowanshannock Township), died Sunday, May 20, 2001 in the Kittanning Care Center, Kittanning. She was born August 29, 1907 in Carl, OK to Jessie Autumn and Bessie Elizabeth (Colwell) Stockman. Mrs. Lockhart was a homemaker. She was a Protestant. She was also a former member of the Stich and Neighbors Club and former president of Shannock Valley Medical Auxiliary. Survivors include three daughters, June Renfro of Manorville, Mrs. Bernard (Beatrice) Haney of Valley Grove, WV and Lyndia Renfro of Rural Valley RD1; 17 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and one sister, Naomi Hunter of Bay City, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John M. Lockhart, who died March 27, 1986; two daughters, Pauline Meredith and Lavona Sigler; one brother, Clark Stockman; and one sister, Elma Davis. Funeral services will be held at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Rural Valley at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001 with the Rev. William Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery.
