Egyptian Pharaoh. He ruled Egypt during the Fifth Dynasty, coming to the throne in 2400 BC, possibly after a dynastic struggle between the descendants of the Pharaohs Neferirkare Kakai and Sahure. He died young after a reign of between one and two years, leaving his pyramid unfinished. This was completed after his death in the form of a large mastaba, or "bench" tomb and is known as the "Unfinished Pyramid" He is best known today for an important cache of seal prints and decorated plates discovered in his mortuary complex. Fragments of his mummy were also recovered, and they suggest that his age at death was between twenty and twenty-five years.
