Son of Abraham & Anna (Mey) Van Wart.

Baptized in the 1st Reformed Church of Tarrytown, April 17, 1733

Married Rachel Williams on Oct 7, 1752 where they resided in Philipsburg.

During the Revolution he was a private in the Westchester Co. Militia, and took part in a number of battles in the vicinity.

He died in 1784.

They had the following children:

Maritie (Mary) 1755
Isaac* 1758
Antie (Anna/Nancy) 1760-1825
Elizabeth 1768

* We would be remiss not to mention that his son, Issac Van Wart, was one of the men that captured Major Andre during the Revolutionary War.
