Lyman Brooks Agan, son of Samuel Chester and Gladys Leota Evans Agan, was born February 13, 1927, in Elsie, Nebraska and departed this life January 21, 2010, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years.

Lyman made a profession of faith in Christ as a young boy and was a charter member of Ozark Bible Church. He remained an active and faithful member. He served as a Deacon, and a lay minister. His church and his faith were very important to him. He was a great witness and shared his personal testimony with others at every opportunity.

Lyman attended and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1945. He remained in the Lebanon area, and in contact with many of his classmates.

After graduation, Lyman attended college at Southwest Missouri State University for two semesters, he then began a career at Mid Am Dairy as a lab technician. He was respected by his employers and co-workers for his strong work ethic and attention to detail.

On April 6, 1947, he was united in marriage with Agnes Wood and of this union are three sons, all surviving. Agnes preceded him in death on September 9, 2008.

Lyman served our country in the United States Army. He was proud of his service time and dedicated to the future successes of this country.

He had a variety of past times. He enjoyed fishing, playing checkers and cards, going to garage sales, and most importantly visiting with family and friends, especially about the Bible.

Lyman is survived by three sons, Tom Agan, Ron Agan and his wife Karen and John Pulley and his wife Teresa, all of Lebanon; one sister, LaVena Enfield, also of Lebanon; seven grandchildren, Rachelle Jennings and her husband Chris, Tara Johnson and her husband Brandon, Susan Phillips and her husband Todd, Kevin Agan and his wife Kimberly, Brook Sevcik and her husband Anthony, Shana Ballard and her husband Chris and Matthew Pulley; ten great-grandchildren, Janessa, Shawna, Cori, Emma, Lucy, Caleb, Cara, Rylen, Sage and Mattox; other relatives and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, LaVerne Dickens and Nola Dickens.

Lyman was a loving father, caring grandfather, cherished brother and loyal friend. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him will treasure the moments they shared together until they are reunited in Heaven. He will be greatly missed.
