Otha was born Aug. 29, 1922, in St. Clair, Mo., to James and Martha Hale. She had been an area resident for over 47 years and was a longtime member of Northwest Church of Christ. She loved to travel and paint and was a member of the Northwest Art Association.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Bownds, in 1994; a daughter, Cynthia Bownds; and a brother, Jim Hale.
Survivors: Children, Betty Pearson of Murfreesboro, Ark., Barbara Wiggins, Bonnie Bownds, and Don Bownds, all of Fort Worth, and Debbie Graham of Brownsville; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
