Colleen (Lyons) Adams
Colleen (Lyons) Adams, 89, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at St. Vincent Hospice. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born March 27, 1912, in Greenwood. Her parents were Robert and Enith (Wheatley) Lyons. She married Leroy Adams. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, David Adams of Macon, Ga.; a daughter, Barbara Underwood of Carmel; a sister, Frances Hill of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was employed for 20 years by Adams Corner Grocery and Hardware Store as owner and manager.
She was a member of Greenwood United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Ralph Hill will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Greenwood Chapel. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent Hospice.
