Melvin Lee Hastings - He was a longtime resident of Brevard County and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and later as a Quality Control Inspector for McDonald Douglas at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Mel was predeceased by his first wife, Goldie Coburn Hastings, and his second wife, Donna Barton Hastings. Surviving are children; Linda Hastings, Debra Hastings (Ed) Hurwitz and M. Leon (Patti) Hastings; stepchildren, William (Glenda) Barton, Bonnie Barton (Kyle) Morgan, Gregory (Alisa) Barton, Jeffery (Cheryl) Barton, Vanessa Barton (Rex) Davidson and Jill Barton (Lee) Phelps; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held.
