OBITUARY- Times Post, Houston, MS, Jan. 3, 1963
Funeral services for Oscar Franklin Young, 79, who died at 11:50 pm, Dec. 29 at his home on Star Rt., Houston, were conducted from the Thorn Church of God at 2 pm, Monday. Burial was in the Elzy Cemetery with Memorial Funeral Home in charge.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Hester Young of Houston; three daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Bender of Wentachee, WA, Mrs. Charlie Carter of Houston and Mrs. Noel Criddle of Slate Springs, MS; three sons, Henry Young of Galveston, TX, Thomas Young of Butler, NJ and Olon Young of Biggersville, PA; a sister, Mrs. Beulah Bailey of Houston and a brother, Arthur Young of Houston, MS. Sixteen grandchildren also survive. Mr. Young was a retired farmer.
