Nancy Anne Jordan, 47, of Connersville, passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 21, 2010, in the emergency room at the Fayette Regional Hospital, surrounded by her family and friends. She had fought a two and half year courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 29, 1962, in Connersville, one of six children of Robert and Roxie Huber Clark.

A 1980 graduate of Connersville High School, she continued her education throughout her adult career, first earning an associate Degree in Nursing, a Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing and lastly a Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Belford.

Nancy was employed as a registered nurse at Fayette Regional Health System and had worked at other regional hospitals and nursing homes during her nursing career.

On Sept. 6, 1980, she was married in Connersville to Kevin Jordan. Mr. Jordan survives.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and the Lamda Chi Omega Sorority.

During her leisure she enjoyed being the best "Nana" to her grandchildren, bowling and caring for people. Nancy was a precious angel to her family and everyone surrounding her.

Besides her husband, Kevin Jordan of Connersville, survivors include two sons, Caleb Jordan and wife Robin, and Jacob Jordan, all of Connersville, one daughter, Deidre Abraham and husband, Geoffrey of Connersville, three sisters, Marsha Pierce and husband, Robert "RD" of Morenci, Mich., Ginger Maddox and husband, John, and Gina Hudson and husband, Rick, all of Connersville, two brothers, Danny Clark and wife, Rita, and James Clark, all of Connersville, four very loved grandchildren, Alexus Jordan, Eric Jordan, Jaxson Abraham and Jordan Abraham, all of Connersville, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Richard and Nell Jordan of Connersville, and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert and Roxie Clark.

Funeral services will be conducted by Bishop John Maddox of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
