Merlin Glen Urbauer, son of Mr.and Mrs. Simon Urbauer, died Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at the hospital at York, Nebr., at the age of 26 years, 7 months and 3 days.

He was born March 11, 1908, on a farm near Sutton, Nebr. Here he also grew to the age of 16. In 1924 the family moved south of Ong where he spent the rest of his life always
enjoying good health.

Merlin was married to Miss Alice Shriefer Nov. 9, 1930; the union being blest with one child, LaVae Deloris. The young
couple resided on a farm four miles west and 2 1/2 miles south of Shickley.

Merlin was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Shickley. Here also he was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church. Sturdy yet unassuming and humble, he adorned the
doctrines of his Saviour, Jesus Christ.
An outstanding trait was his true-heartedness.
He leaves to mourn his sudden departure, his sorrow stricken wife, Alice, his daughter, LaVae, his parents, eight brothers and one sister, Lester and Kenneth of Davenport, Grace, Billy, Dale, Merton, Lee, Dean and Loren, all of Davenport, his aged grandfather, Wm.
McLaughlin of Sutton, also eight uncles, three
aunts and many other relatives, and
a great many friends.

Services were at the home at one o'clock and at Zion Lutheran Church at Shickley, Tuesday, Oct. 16, at two
o'clock, conducted by his pastor, Rev.Wm. Wietzke.

Interment was in the Ong Cemetery.

An unusually large crowd paid their last respects at the services and the floral offerings were numerous and beautiful.
