Ottis Frank Ambrose was born in Choudrant, Louisiana to Conrad Marie (CM) and Euna Holstead Ambrose on August 27, 1920. He enlisted in the Army shortly after graduating high school and served as a Sgt. during World War II in Germany and surrounding countries. He worked for Houston Production C ompany for years ain the Hull-Daisetta area until suffering a back injury. He later worked for Dearmore Motors in Liberty as a car salesman and at the time of his death on July 23, 1999, was a self-employed plumber and owner of Ambrose Plumbing in Hardin. He married Dorothy Louise Tullos, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Tullos, on April 26, 1947 in Liberty. To this union 4 sons were born: James Elton, Robert Glen, Dennis Franklin and William David. He was also the proud grandfather of 5 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild and 7 great-grandchildren.
