CUERO – Funeral services for Louise Barth Luddeke, 99, of Cuero, will be today at 2 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. James Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in Nelms Cemetery, Concrete.
Mrs. Luddeke died Sunday.
The daughter of William and Marie Riedesel Boldt, she was born Aug. 27, 1894, in DeWitt County. She married August E. Barth; he preceded her in death. She later married Henry Luddeke; he also preceded her in death. Mrs. Luddeke formerly owned and operated Mission Café and Shady Pause Inn in Beeville and Playhouse Restaurant in Yorktown.
Survivors include three daughters, Marie Trisler of Mobile, Ala., Blanche Caldwell of Albuquerque, N.M., and Mildred Mutschler of Cuero; a sister, Annie Rivers of Commerce; seven grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cindy Mutschler.
