GRANITE FALLS- Miss Marcella Bowman, 47, of Route Three, Granite Falls, died Monday night at 7:30 o'clock in a Morganton hospital after a brief illness.
She was born July 11, 1919, in Caldwell County to Mrs. E.M. Bowman of Route Three, Granite Falls, and the late Mr. Bowman.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Grace Chapel Methodist Church. The Rev. F. A. Wright and the Rev. Max Brandon will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at Mackie Funeral Home chapel here until 30 minutes prior to the funeral, at which time it will be taken to the church to lie in state. The family will recieve at the funeral home tonight from seven until nine o'clock.
The family suggests that those wishing may make donations to Grace Chapel Methodist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by three brothers, Jesse C. Bowman of Granite Falls, Harmon Wesley Bowman of Jackson, Miss., and Kenneth E. Bowman of Route Three, Granite Falls; four sisters, Mrs. Bruce(Mable) Sherrill, and Mrs. W. Joe(Zelma) Curtis, both of Route Three, Granite Falls, Mrs. Glenn(Elizabeth) Mackie and Mrs. William J.(Mary Doris) Icard, both of Granite Falls.

GRANITE FALLS- Pallbearers at funeral rites for Miss Marcella Bowman of Route Three, Granite Falls, who died Monday and was buried Wednesday afternoon in Grace Chapel Methodist church cemetery, were Robert Bowman, J. R. Bowman, Melvin Munday, John Starnes, Thomas Sherrill, and Stewart Dula.
