Mr. Waters was a native of Winn Parish but had lived in Shreveport where he was employed at Wray Dickerson's Service Department for thirty years.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the New Hope Methodist Church near Winnfield, with Rev. Ira Love, pastor of Wynn Methodist Church of Shreveport, and Rev. J. C. Rousseaux, pastor of New Hope Church, officiating.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Trois L. Waters, Shreveport; one brother, J. L. Waters, Winnfield; one nephew, Johnny H. Waters, Winnfield; and one niece, Mrs. Thomas Dean of Ferriday.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Trawick, Johnny Jackson, Buck McCartney, Ernest Melton, James Russell, and Tracy Harrel, Sr.
