Doris Mary Tawes, of Wilmington, NC, died Wednesday, November 5, 2003, at Britthaven of NorthChase.
She was born in Cumberland, NJ, on January 4, 1920, daughter of the late George Johnson and Fannie Crawford Johnson, and was the widow of Kenneth Tawes who died in 1973.
Surviving are two daughters, Carol Miller and husband Jimmy of Wilmington, NC, and Sandra Ford of Bridgeton, NJ; three grandchildren, Doris Lee Gravley, Sandra Albano, and Jessica Roberts; two great-grandchildren, Thomas R. Albano Jr., and Amber N. Gravley; and one brother, Leroy Johnson and wife Nita of Maui, HI.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2003, at Oleander Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Don Cashwell.
