Agnes Pruitt Crew, 85, was born April 20, 1924 in Troup, Texas and died January 21, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Agnes graduated from Troup High School and shortly afterwards, moved with her family to Orange where she worked as an alterations lady, in the business office at American bridge and after attending Chenier Business College, worked as an assistant city secretary of the city of West Orange until her retirement. She married Walter A. "Rip" Crew on August 06, 1943. Agnes was a member of the Orange County chapter of Senior Citizens, the Troup group and a former member of the Orange County home demonstration club. Agnes enjoyed sewing and was an expert seamstress. She also enjoyed doing all types of handwork that's proudly displayed in her home.

Agnes is preceded in death by her husband, Walter A. "Rip" Crew; son, Walter Earl Crew; brother, Earl Pruitt; sister-in-law, Freda Dunn; brothers-in-law, Robert Baker and Jimmy Dean.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Pam Scales Crew of Orange; sister Lorene Baker of Mineola, Texas; sisters-in-law, Wynona Peveto of Groves, Bonnie Dean of Mauriceville; brother-in-law, Bill Dunn of Mauriceville; nieces and nephews, extended family, friends and granddogs Blackie, Smiley and Rusty..

Burial will be at the Autumn Oaks Cemetery under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home.
