MR. LEO FRANCIS KNOTT, 81 years old, of Payneville, Kentucky, died Friday, March 30, 1973 at Norton Memorial Infirmary, Louisville, Kentucky. He was born March 11, 1892, the son of Francis M. Knott and Ida Hardesty Knott. Mr. Knott was a charter member of St Theresa Council 2282 Knights of Columbus. He is survived by 8 children, Mrs. Marvin (Elizabeth) Wathen, Mukonwago, WI, Mrs. Charles (Vallie) Wathen, Louisville, KY; Mrs. Nickie (Irma Rose) Hardesty, Payneville, KY; Mrs. Louis (Amelia) Curl, Valley Station, KY; Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Miley, Shively, KY; James Knott, Rhodelia, KY; Robert Knott, Payneville, KY; and Frank Knott, Louisville, KY; 2 sisters Mrs. Ray Bewley, Payneville, KY; and Mrs. Edwinna Wedding, Louisville, KY; 1 brother, Kermit Knott, Louisville, KY; 37 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, April 02, 1973, at 10:00 a.m. from St. Theresa Catholic Church with Father Robert A. Brown, officiating. Interment was in St. Theresa Church Cemetery directed by Hager-Wright Funeral Home. Pallbearers were David Knott, Ronnie Knott, Mike Knott, Marvin Wathen, Gary Kottel and Danny Hardesty.
