S.A. Daws of Eliasville died in Fort Worth. He had been in Fort Worth to place his oldest son in school., and while spending a few days in the city was attacked by pneumonia which resulted in his death.

S.A. Daws married Stella Ritchey on 12 November 1889 in Young County, Texas officiated by R.E. Sherrill, Graham Methodist preacher.

He moved to Young County with his parents as a young man and lived in the county since 1879. Sam Daws was a faithful member of the Christian church and was ever ready to do his duty. He was a man of sterling qualities and a highly honored gentleman in Young County.

S.A. Daws had been in failing health since the death of his wife.

Survived by: parents, two brothers, two sisters, three sons: Joe J. Daws, Grady Daws, Jim Daws, two daughters - Ruth Ellen Daws, Sudie Mae Daws.
