Death of Uncle John Walker.
Uncle John Walker, one of the pioneers of Hensley township, was born January 31st 1830, died April 30th, 1907, age seventy-seven years, two months and twenty-nine days.
In the death of Uncle John, Johnson county loses one of its best citizens. He was kind to everyone and always stood ready to help those who needed help.
The deceased leaves four brothers and a host of friends to mourn their departure, namely: Granviel, Charles, Samuel and Thomas Walker, all living in this vicinity. He has been preceded by two brothers, one sister, a father and mother. He had been ailing for thirty years but his illness did not become serious until three years ago.
Interment was at the Bethlehem cemetery Wednesday at 3:00.
