Morgantown dies

Joseph P. Jacobs, 91, of Morgantown route three, died shortly after noon Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Genneva Rairdon, also of Morgantown route three. He bad been ill for the past two years.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown, with the Rev. Paul Knight officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem cemetery in Johnson county. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. today.

Jacobs, a retired farmer, had lived in Morgantown for 50 years, moving there from Indianapolis, and was a member of the Spearsville Pilgrim Holiness church.

He was born in Bargersville June 28,1881, to John and Martha (Warrick) Jacobs. On December 26, 1905, he married Mary Frazier at Nashville. She survives.

Also sruviving are three daughters, Mrs. Raydon, Mrs. Pearl Stinger of Indianapolis and Mrs. Esther Ratliff of Morgantown. Three daughters and one son preceded him in death.
