Halsey L. Lloyd, 61, resident of Hunt County since 1934, died unexpectedly at 5 p.m. Thursday at his home in the Kellogg community, north of Greenville.

He was born April 10, 1897 in New York City, the son of James Lloyd and Margaret Waltzer Lloyd. He came to Texas and settled in Fort Worth in 1923, making his home in that city for several years. He was married to the former Martha Poole in 1934 and had made his home here since that time.

For 25 years he was with the Delco Division of General Motors and traveled over the entire United States. Until his retirement several years ago he owned and operated the Lloyd Refrigeration Service here in Greenville.

He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in New York City.

Survivors include his wife and one son, James Lloyd of Garland.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at James-Coker-Peters Chapel with Rev. Albert Click of Wolfe City officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery.

Funeral servcies for Halsey L. Lloyd, 61, of the Kellogg Community, were held Saturday morning at 10:30 at the James-Coker-Peters Chapel with the Rev. Albert Click of Celeste officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were De Mack Rainer, R.C. Duncan, O.L. Spradling, Dow Porter, Alton Timberlake and Q.M. Gilmer.

Mr. Lloyd died at 5 p.m. Thursday at his home.

Born April 10, 1897, in New York City, he was the son of James Lloyd and Margaret Waltzer Lloyd. He had been living in Texas since 1923 and had lived in Hunt County since 1934.

He is survived by his wife, the former Martha Poole; a son, James Lloyd of Garland and other relatives.
