"Mrs. Margaret E. Kirk, 75 wife of Wilber P. Kirk, widely known and most highly regarded Indian Run resident, died at her home last night after five days' illness, induced by a paralytic stroke. Her death caused deep regret.
"Mrs. Kirk was born in Hickory Township, June 7, 1860, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Beriah Bagnall. She had resided in Indian Run for the past 47 years and had been a devout member of the White Chapel M. E. Church for an equal number of years.
"Mrs. Kirk had been a teacher of the Adult Bible class at the church for 30 years, and had always taken an active part in the affairs of the community.
"Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Scott W., Eastbrook, and Howard S., Indian Run; three sisters, Mrs. W. T. Leggett, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. H.D. Uber and Miss Nellie Bagnall, Mercer; two brothers, W. B. Bagnall, Pontiac, Ill., and Chester Bagnall, Wheatfield, Ind., and five grandchildren.
"Funeral services will be held at the late home at 2 P.M. Thursday. Burial will be in Mercer Citizens' cemetery.
