HAYDEN, JOHN B., 70, of Shepherdsville, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, at his home. He was a native of Lebanon, KY and a retired employee of M & M Cartage and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Sallie Mae Hayden; and niece, Julie Marie Mudd. He is survived by his loving wife, the former Mary Jo Ruley; son, Jay Hayden (Starla), of Florida; daughter, Cheryl Blandford (Greg), of Mt. Washington, KY; brothers, Billy Hayden (Jane), Terry Hayden (Catherine Ann), Bobby Hayden (Betty) and Pat Hayden (Maggie); sisters, Ida Jo Bland (Paul), Suann Hudson, Mag Kuhlman (Burt), Nada Mudd (Jerry), Betty Tatum (Tony) and Sarah Spalding (Joe V.); and he was a brother to the Ruley family; grandchildren, John Bryan Hayden (Haleigh), of Paducah, KY, Chad Hayden (Kylie), of Florida, Kasey Sowash, of Mt. Washington and Mallory Blandford, of Mt. Washington; and three great-grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 155 Stringer Lane, Mt. Washington, with burial in the St. Francis Xavier Church Cemetery. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Schmid Funeral Home, Mt. Washington.
