Mildred Lucille Kachold was born January 25, 1925 in Marcus, WA to Stephen and Christine Kukull; she passed away November 25, 2009 in Burlington. She was raised in Malo and Lake Stevens, WA; she attended Marysville High School. She married Fred Kachold in Yakima, WA in October 1941. She focused for many years on raising her children, delaying work outside the home until after her children had graduated from high school. She was a buyer at Miller's department store and then worked at Wycoff Insurance Company. Mildred was an outgoing, loving person with a passion for painting, playing the piano, decorating and gardening; she also was an accomplished seamstress. She is survived by her three children, John (Melanie) Kachold of Virginia, Maryann (Steve) Davidson of Arizona, and Shirley Kachold of Nevada; her grandchildren: Kristina (Jason) Hales of Alabama, Matthew Perry of Arizona, Brian (Charlotte) Kachold of Virginia, and Richard Kachold of Virginia; her great-granddaughter Drew Hales; her great-grandsons: Aidan Hales and Trevor James Kachold; her half-brother: Steve Kukull of Marysville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother Don Kukull. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009, 12:15 pm at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church followed by the Committal at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Everett, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to cancer or Alzheimer's research.
